How memecoin narratives form and fade

Why tokens cluster around the same words, how to spot a narrative early in the call feed, and when it is already late.

Memecoins trade in herds. When one token named after a dog, a politician or an AI agent runs, dozens of copies follow within hours. Those clusters are narratives, and the call feed shows them before most charts do.

Early, middle, late

  • Early: one or two tokens with a new word appear, called by a handful of channels. Few copies exist.
  • Middle: the word shows up in many new tokens across several chains. Callers start posting the theme itself.
  • Late: almost every fresh launch carries the word, and liquidity per token falls. Copies are thin and rotate fast.

Using the radar

The narrative radar counts words in the names and symbols of the latest calls and compares the newest half of the window with the older half. Rising words are moving into the middle phase. A word with many tokens and falling average market cap is usually late.

Caveat

A narrative is attention, not quality. Every token still needs its own holder and liquidity checks.
